Read !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! so I wanted to see how the prices are on GM’s website. And the build your vehicle gets all screwed up, doesn’t even show the diesel option but has the option for “exhaust brake” and the interior picture is missing half the image. Maybe it’s just my computer?

I’ve never heard of a transfer case requiring a specific engine. I know if you check the box for Engine Brake it pops up a message that you must also select the Duramax engine

I just did it and it subtracted the 3.6 V6, but didn’t put an engine in. The price went up accordingly, matching what the diesel should cost, but I was able to complete the truck with no engine shown. Fun stuff! I’m guessing they are working on it...

Same thing for me hahaha.
I’ve worked on build and price tools before and frankly, they’re a bitch to build. I know I’ll cut them some slack because of my experience.

It doesn’t go on sale for quite a while yet so it’s probably not up yet.
That said please GM let RWD diesel mid truck be a thing.

Yeah, no problem they can have some slack! I just did it again, same thing. It seems like the diesel is there but not configured. It’s now mentioned when you do the trim compares. You have to choose at least the LT trim, diesel is not an option for the WT trims.

It was like that yesterday and the day before too. Noticed the engine braking part of it on there then too. The configurator sucks though. Seriously.

It’s possibly a 4-mode transfer case (2H / 4H-auto / 4H-locked / 4L) instead of the tradition 3-mode that doesn’t have the 4H-auto option.
My truck has that and the auto mode is awesome for winter driving. Just put it in there and don’t worry about it. Otherwise you need to choose between 2H which can cause the back to get squirelly or 4H which makes handling wonky if the roads aren’t completely snow covered.

If it is that’s great. My ‘05 Yukon XL 2500 had that transfer case with Auto, 2H, 4H, 4L and it was awesome.
