Good Night Oppo!

I’m visiting Japan and I would like to see some of the local car scene. I am currently In Kyoto and will be in Tokyo next. Are there any car meets I could see? Is it Daikoku Futo a good place? ( Pic of a Miata in Hiroshima because.... well, miata, duh)

Thanks!

When will you be here? I would recommend contacting

https://kinja.com/tokyobayaquali…

in order to get more infos on the Tokyo scene... I think he lived in Osaka for a little while too so he might help you with Kobe/Osaka/Kyoto.

As far as I’m concerned, I’ll be in Kyoto early next month, but don’t know much about the city. It’s nice when you’re a tourist, but when you actually live in Japan, it’s mostly just VERY overpriced traditions lol.

If you come to Nagoya area, I would gladly bring you to C&C Nagoya on November 1st.

Thanks for answering! I am already in Kyoto, I plan to stay here until oct 10 and then go to Tokyo for a week. I really appreciate the offer of C&C on Nov 1st but unfortunately I fly back home on Oct 17. I was thinking on going to Daikoku Futo, but I am not sure how that works.

Regarding Nagoya. Do you recommend it as a tourist destination?

Thanks again!

No I don’t recommend it haha

It’s a skip for tourists who go from Osaka straight to Tokyo for a reason... it’s a not a touristic destination. On the other end if you know people, have friends, it’s a GREAT city, but you need to know japanese people/ gaijins living there to enjoy it, so that they can show around.

I have never been to Daikoku Futo myself, but my guess would be that you’d better go there this friday, just before living to Tokyo, maybe around 10pm all the way to Midnight.... You might see stuff going on at this time. My best bet would be Saturday evenings, but you will be in Tokyo by them so...

This is something I’m curious about as well. My wife and I are planning to go in 2017, and I’d like to do at least a couple car related things while we’re there. We’re already planning on visiting the Mazda museum in Hiroshima, but something a bit more personal would be a lot of fun too.
