It’s a genuine Mazda Accessory, but I doubt any of you have seen it before. It only fits the early 5-doors, so there’s your hint. You win an Oreo cookie if you can find one on GIS, and post it in the comments.

Nice trucks for your time

The roof spoiler? Or is it that weird grille that goes in the front? Something like this is alright, hopefully you didn’t go overboard and get something like logo doorsill inserts or something like that.

EDIT: image upload keeps failing, but I’m thinking of that ‘billet’ grille which goes beneath the smaller, main grille which has the Mazda logo.

No. Sadly that grille is no longer available. Well, as is the part I did order. But I found a few stashed away somewhere for cheap.

Nope nope and nope. I can almost guarantee no one here knows of them or has seen a car with them installed on it. I’ve seen maybe ONE in my 10 years workin’ for Mazda.

I thought it was going to be something more... extravagant. I'm glad I know since I was wasting a lot of time searching for early Mazda OEM parts. What are the mouldings for? Is it just to make the car wider?

Hehehe, they’re to cover the dents and rust repair I am doing, plus they’ll make the car look a little different than all the other silver 3 hatches on the road. And they’re a soft-ish rubber so they’ll protect from future dents as well. Win-win.

Dark grey... it was a one year color on the SP2.3 and 2006 Mazda5 that I had.
