Today’s game! Wannabe basic bro in a stance’d civic VS wannabe tough guy with his just won a lowrider hop competition, and now it’s stuck like this. Rules are simple, your driving from Portland Oregon to Ocean City Maryland. you have to pick one. Who do you choose!?

Nope. I didn’t have a cellphone at the time, plus I was by myself. My parents didn’t really see the need for a cell until I got my license. We lived on 80 acres, so had plenty of room to learn how(and how not to) drive. All my friends had $5k quads, and I had a $275 BRAT. I totally enjoyed it more. It went on to someone who was going to restore it.

It was awesome! This was before/while I took drivers-ed and my teacher actually lived across the road, so when I knew he was watching I enjoyed sliding around and doing various dumb shit. One day he actually saw me a friend get it up on two wheels when we caught a rut. It was well used. I put 400 miles on it just in our field. It was surprisingly quick for something with only 67hp, it was definitely quicker than my 4Runner.

The lowrider will eventually either break or be returned to semi-proper elevation by cracking a hydraulic hose to bleed off pressure with a wrench - the safety glasses and gloves for this are an easy get. Until it gets boring or breaks, just drive as is. More importantly, lowrider guy and I probably have more in common in mods taste, and we *probably* won’t get stuck, just not get anywhere fast. Also, better seats. This is really a What Would PJ O’Rourke Do kind of question.

The lowrider is “fixable” in the sense of “can be re/un-broken to ride levelish and badly until the next time we just GOTTA HOP, YO”. Since that only sort of qualifies as fixing the problem, I choose to treat it as legit for “taking the car as you got it”. There’s clearly something broken and not getting fixed still, but it’s like a manageable disability.
