Got a gopro camera for christmas last year.... I’m not the biggest fan of the whole ‘selfie’ phenomena which includes the whole “ flat-brimmed, mtn dew funneling, gotta film every damn thing in my life to show off with.. ” But I had the camera laying around so decided to use it at least once...... And Behold! Here it is! I anticpate calls from Scorsese anytime now....

Cue the Italian Twin Roar, Wind and Dry Clutch Chatter!

I really need to get my hands on an off-road bike...

I’ve always been a fan of the chest mount for dirt bike. Some say it’s too shaky, but I think it just gives a real perspective of just how much the handlebars are moving when you ride, especially off road

I like the chest-mounted videos too.. but here I actually mounted the camera to the chin of my helmet— I initially tried a chest harness, but it was just looking through my windshield the whole time....

Escaping the mountains is always nice.. escaping to the mountains on a fun off-road motorbike is even funner.

I bought a gopro with a gift card I had last spring and at first I thought I was going to use it tons, but quickly realized my life wasn’t that interesting. That being said I have mounted it on my kayak for some cool time lapse videos and I just took it with me zip-lining with a helmet mount. I haven’t posted any of the videos anywhere yet, but I think that will be a winter thing with less to do outdoors besides pond hockey. I really need to get a bike and I feel like I’ll use it some then and I’m trying to convince my dad to let us do some autocross with his mini, but we’ll have to see about that.

True, I stand up a lot when I ride so the chest mount works pretty well. How did you attach it to the chin of your helmet?

I took a blank metal/outdoor wall outlet cover, bent it to roughly the shape of the helmet, then added self-adhesive foam padding to the back of it. Stuck the camera mount to the front of the plate. Then drilled some holes through the plate to run zip ties through it and then around the chin bar of the helmet. Attaches in about 30 seconds... and it seems super bomber.
