Ouch. My filling this AM was a piece of cake. Actual procedure was about 5 minutes.

Actually, it barely hurt. Took more than an hour of drilling and scraping though. Took Neurofen prophylactically afterwards and no problems.

My regular 6-month cleaning/checkup was last Monday when it was suggested that I have this tiny bit of work done. I probably could have had it done without novocaine but I’m such a wuss when it comes to the dentist. His novocaine shots are painless.......I don’t even feel the needle go in.

A few months ago, I encountered a fella on a Mustang forum, who had bought his car from a dentist. He was having idle issues and there was a broken gauge mounted to his throttle body. The previous owner had installed a nitrous system, but it wasn’t a NOS or Edelbrock setup.

Upon closer inspection, the green-faced gauge was for oxygen pressure and was made by Puritan Bennet , a medical supply company. Apparently the car had what appeared to be a completely DIY nitrous system, using components that the dentist was easily able to source through his profession.
