Because if you do, you should drink this one.

I can confidently say that Oppo likes beer.

I’m more into porters and stouts. I enjoyed a nice cool Narwhal earlier while watching my 49ers stink up the joint.

Weihen is good, but have you tried Paulaner?

One hell of a coincidence, I just happened to have this for the first time last night (went to a local sports bar and they had it on tap). What a fan-fucking-tastic brew. I could drink it for DAYS.

In fact I do love beer!
![]() 10/04/2015 at 22:52 |

That’s on tap at my local. :)

Hells yes, Oppo loves beer and I specifically love weissbiers, it’s easily my favourite style. Weihenstephaner is excellent, try their Vitus brew if available.
I just had this one from a new (I think) local(ish) brewery. They’ve done a good job with this one and it’s one I’ve come back to a few times now.

I enjoy beer, and have the champaign of beers in my fridge at home. Unfortunately, I’m in my office getting some late night work done. When I’m not on Oppo, of course.

Well YouTube sucks so this is a shitty live version but here’s your official song

There is some evidence that would suggest that Oppo does, indeed, like beer.
I’ve had that one. It’s wonderful. My favorite Heff, actually.

ttyymmnn likes beer, but just not weissbier. This is what I’m drinking tonight.

I keep meaning to try Spaten Oktoberfest but I have yet to find it shelved where I live. My go-to Oktoberfest is Hoffbräu.
![]() 10/04/2015 at 23:08 |

I’ve tried this exact beer. I don’t like it. Too malty. I don’t like a lot of oktoberfest/marzen styles.

The original or the here?
![]() 10/04/2015 at 23:09 |

Ah yes, the champagne of beers, Le Millér Hïgh Lîfé.

Mine too, except maybe Erdinger.

I have not!
![]() 10/04/2015 at 23:10 |

The weiss or the original? Because I live in the DC area and I can’t find this stuff anywhere!
![]() 10/04/2015 at 23:12 |

You should try it, I love weissbier and for me Paulaner is a tick better than Weihenstephaner.
![]() 10/04/2015 at 23:14 |

I agree with your assessment, but I enjoy it. I’m usually more of a pilsner guy, but this is a nice change.

I got a case at Costco. I think it was about $22.

The hefe. They had a big taplist.
![]() 10/04/2015 at 23:17 |

“Does Oppo like beer?”
Haaaaaave you met Gamecat?

No beer in Costco here. The powers that be here in Ontario have a monopoly over the distribution of alcohol, limited to The Beer Store (largely owned by major brewers), LCBO (government owned) and small breweries’ own stores. Only now are they releasing a bit of their grasp on the market, allowing it to be brought into some grocery stores, slowly, limiting the sales and keeping prices high. :<
I could probably ask for a case to be brought in at my local LCBO, it’d probably cost me $50 or so.

yes please - I had a couple of Lagunitas original IPAs this evening.
Speaking of new/interesting beers - those Marzens are awesome - potent but nice and malty. A few of our local “Oktoberfest” brews are Marzens this year.

Ouch. Nothing like a good, old-fashioned monopoly. I was in Pennsylvania last summer, and I was suprised to find no beer sales in the convenience stores, unlike most of the country. If the state liquor store is closed, you have to go to a restaurant with a liquor license, and they have coolers of cases and six-packs in the front of the restaurant. No beer in grocery stores, either. Weird, but it’s their way.

That one is maybe their 2nd best beer after their Vitus

The Weiss and the original. Though the wehenstephaner weiss isn’t always there.. Sometimes theyll have the Franziskaner Weissbier instead.
It’s a German Club though. In Australia.

If you like Weihenstephaner, try Erdinger and Paulaner. Erdinger Dunkel (dark) if you can find it.

You can thank Rick Santorum for those rules. Also you can only carry out one 6 pack at a time and places selling 6 packs can’t sell cases. It’s insane.

The only way to truly enjoy this beer is in a chilled glass. Pour until you have about an inch from the bottom left, making sure to pour slowly and minimize the head. Then swirl the remainder in the bottle and pour straight down into the glass.
I learned this from some Germans. It turns out amazing.

I drank one of those with my mom and on the Beijing city wall when they visited me in China a few years ago. She fell in love with it, and still buys them today. I think they’re pretty great as well.

this Opponaut doesn’t like beer or alcohol for that matter.
i’ll happily go to pubs etc , but i’ll stick to Coca-Cola.

Try their original, it’s basically the equivalent of the legendary beer from the movie Beerfest

I like Weihenstephaner, but for weissbier I normally go with Erdinger or Paulaner since they’re easier to find, or a Hacker-Pschorr if it’s around. As much as I love German wheat beer I still think Hoegaarden is my favourite wheat beer, and Kronenbourg Blanc is decent, too.
