So the GP is developing a starting problem.

It used to be that I could be really casual in starting the car. But in the last month or so, I’ll start the car, or so I think, throw it in reverse and nothing happens. Then to actually get the car started I have to take the key out, start over and be very deliberate, and once it starts it sounds kinda off for a few seconds with a low idle. So today the same thing happened but it was really struggling on the start and had that sound of an old, cold motor trying to start before it actually got started. Any idea what’s up, if anything?

Have a Jag for your time.

Anything fuel, spark, or air related.

Start with little stuff, clean the maf, replace fuel filter, etc.

Vacuum leak? My TA ran like garbage at low RPM when it had a vacuum leak.
