Went out for my last long training run this morning and it turned into spot-the Mercedes day. No pics of most, but I saw a couple G-Wagens, an SLS AMG, an(other!) new E63 AMG wagon (there are apparently two in this neighborhood and holy crap I love them), some sort of camo-ed small SUV thing (was too tired to care at that point) and this beauty:
Sorry for potato pics. This was on a big hill so I figured taking photos was a good excuse for a break. Also now I'm really curious what's under the cover in the garage. Happy Saturday all!

Wait wat. When did Mercedes give a bulky car like that a roof that looks like it’s from an Italian-designed Lanica or something out of Detriot from the 5os? Very interesting!

Not original wheels (off a 300D?) and probably Euro headlamps. There you have it.

And here’s the expert :)
I’m not generally a Mercedes fan but it’s hard to not be pulled in by someone else’s enthusiasm for a vehicle. Was happy to see something more unusual in this neighborhood than yet another bland Lexus or Cayenne or X5.

Anything old and unusual attracts me - and so often I can’t get the camera booted up quickly enough to get the shot out the taxi window.

Where was this?

Wow that is beautiful. So unique compared to the normal old Mercedes’ one sees.

That car is perfection.
Why do I feel like this was near Cherry Creek?

Bayaud, east of Colorado. Well the pictured car was. We ran from Wash Park so pretty much all the rich neighborhoods.

Wash park is a great track. I love riding my bike through there. Ive hit 27mph in some stretches of the park. And I thought that looked like hilltop. My mom grew up on bayaud and jersey so I know that area pretty well.
