Finished fixing my 1998 Craftsman tiller after I let someone borrow it and the transmission froze up and rusted because they left it outside for a week or so.

Opening up the frozen transmission.

Kinja'd!!!

Cleaned all the old grease out, removed rust, and put a new coat of paint inside and out.

Kinja'd!!!

Two new bearings and a gasket.

Kinja'd!!!

The old bearing disintegrated! I thought it was a bushing until I looked up the parts manual.

Kinja'd!!!

Power shaft needed a new bearing too.

Kinja'd!!!

Used Red N Tacky for the transmission. Works excellent and sticks to the gears.

Kinja'd!!!

Used almost the entire jar! Fun :D

Kinja'd!!!

Transmission case is all back together.

Kinja'd!!!

painted the gear indicator red.
