I always wonder if being an old manual will make a difference, I hear stories like this. I still have a pedal lock and a double prong club on my Z. At some point I’m going to have a race console guy make me a plate to fit right where my radio is, can’t hear the radio at this point anyway. He can put in secret sequence codes or a hidden cut off switch somewhere too. I want to do the resettable aircraft fuses too. He does on and off road stuff.

I have a feeling they don’t steal cars regularly...

I’ve been thinking about switching to an electronic fuel pump and wiring a seperate on/off switch somewhere secret for anti-stealing reasons.

There was an old Adam Carolla podcast where he talked about having an electonic pump on a hidden switch in an old Toyota truck. People stole it all the time but they never made it more than a mile because once the fuel in the carb bowl ran out there was no more juice.

just get one of those big boards, and make one of those switches something ridiculous like “trunk light” and if it’s not on the car won’t start.
