Hate to be “that guy” but this is totally photoshop work. Note the total lack of motion blur on the wheels. In 1922, cameras didn’t have the tech to run that high of a shutter speed. There’s also a complete lack of dust trailing him and come on, he’s a stunt man with only three spectators?

I used your gif to emphasise the photography wizardry someone got up to back then. This had to have been done all those years ago in the dark room because the county record has this as a real picture. They used to mess with photos from WWI so the dog fights looked good in pictures, old school photochop.

old school choos were pretty neat work, literally. the patience to physiclaly cut out and reattach portions and redevlop and all that. pretty amazing. mine took me a few minutes in mspaint, to think they would drool over the power of mspaint

I don’t even know how to do that in MS paint. I only make gifs from videos with the program Instagiffer. I make them for sumo wrestling replays a lot. I have never learned with just a photo. Bill Domonkos and Scorpion Dagger are guys I follow on Tumblr because they make crazy gifs. There are some that really are artists with that stuff.
