I want to know if a Town Car has better seats than a Crown Victoria for lower back support specifically or if they are essentially just a leather re-skin I am planning on swapping in some new seats for my Vic and if Town Car seats are better I may be buying and installing them soon.
(Not these seats specifically but ones like them)

I’m interested in this as well. I have a ‘97 Vic LX (civilian) and the drivers seat springs are pretty busted and the leather is torn. I’ve been debating on whether or not to replace them with another set of civilian seats or possibly switching them out for the P71 seats.

TC seats have adjustable lumbar, so yes.

Just get the ones with adjustable lumbar support

My current seats have lumbar and they still suck. I think it might be because I have a very tall torso (my shoulders are entirely above the top of the seat) which puts the back support in the wrong places and leaves me sitting hunched over.

I have an 04 Vic LX and it has a leather bench with lumbar support.

Nice, are you selling the seat? Either way do you find it comfortable?

I’m pretty sure P71s have wider, flatter seats to accommodate the officer’s duty belt and gear. Unless the stock seats are too narrow for you, the P71s will probably be worse.
Perhaps the later, civilian spec, Crown Victoria LX Sport’s bucket seats would work better?

The seats I currntly have are two very large seats that meet in the center with the fold up arm rests that can turn into a third front seat, so the P71 seats being wide wouldn’t be an issue. They can’t be any wider than what I already have!
And I didn’t realize the LX Sport had bucket seats. That looks like it’d be perfect because I wanted the P71 seats so that I could put in a center console. I’ll have to see if I can track some of those down and see if they’d be more cost effective than the P71 seats. Thanks!

I’m not a Panther expert by any means, so I have no idea what the LX Sport seats cost. Marauder seats would also work, but I’d be they’re expensive as well. Good luck and hopefully they aren’t too expensive!

It’s like a leather sofa in your home. Super comfy. I live 5 hours from my parents and take that car every time I go home. That seat is great.
PS: sorry, not for sale. Unless you want to help me buy a rollcage, racing seats and a big turbo!

I suggest getting the red velour seats out of a late 1970s or early 1980s Mercury Grand Marquis!
OR... if they’ll fit, the seats out of an 1989 Chrysler Fifth Avenue.
