So, my dad took my car to Firestone to get my heater fixed. But I also told him to look at the suspension because it felt a bit odd. Apparently the road-sensing suspension is starting to go, and the guy at firestone told him to convert it to shocks. I really want to fix the stock suspension, but I don't know how much it costs to fix it. I also don't want to replace the suspension with shocks because 1) They cost far too much and 2) I don't know if they will affect the ride quality or not, but if they make it worse, it's not worth it. What should I do exactly? By the way, my car is a Cadillac ETC.

You should not take your car to Firestone for auto repair.

Look on forums to see if anyone is selling the stock units because they installed coilovers.

Regular shocks.struts will ride fine.
And remember, new shocks are always better than blown shocks!

What does it have now, air suspension? Regular struts/springs will be a lot simpler in the long run. I don't know about cadillac but this is a common conversion for Lincoln Mark VIIIs
