KFC Philippines has come up with a warped, twisted new food product creation: the Double Down Dog. It's a hot dog with a curved piece of fried chicken instead of a hot dog bun. Whoever came up with this idea is clearly an evil genius.
Like many fast food restaurants who employ highly-skilled food stylists to prepare their food items for product shots, the reality of the food product as prepared in the actual restaurant rarely matches the visual flair of the ad.
Witness, the real-life Double Down Dog.

Hold me.
UPDATE: I got curious about the PUREFOODS Tender Juicy Hotdog Chick 'n Cheese labeling on the ad, and discovered that this is a cheese-injected, chicken hot dog.
So yes, that means that not only is this a hot dog wrapped in a piece of curved fried chicken and drizzled with cheez sauce, it's a chicken hot dog with cheez injected inside of the dog, wrapped in a piece of curved fried chicken and drizzled with cheez sauce.
Hey, y'all, watch this!

Eat a hotdog and a chicken breast in the same meal and no one bats an eye.
Wrap the hotdog in the chicken breast and everyone loses their minds.

I think the gross thing about the picture in question is the application of sauce. The basic idea sounds amazing.

This reminds me how much I love the Philippines. Those waffle dogs are the tits but that cheese on top is just asking for attention if you ask me.
I was personally a big fan of the snack & sip.

Some of it is horrible and some of it is worlds ahead better than anything we have here. I've been twice and I've had some pretty awesome shit over there.
to be honest spaghetti and fried chicken from mcd's isn't a horrible way to spend 2 bucks.

English is actually a national language in the Philippines so all the ads are always in english. Makes it much easier for a tourist like me when I go there.

Oh, I see.
I remember seeing a TV documentary some time ago which showed a courtroom scene in the Philippines. Everyone was talking to each other in uncertain English which sounded weird. Surely everyone speaks Tagalog, or maybe they have different regions with different local languages and English was all they shared.

I'm more of a Jollibee spicy chicken kind of guy. Greenwich for pizza hands down.
But Angel's burger has to be my favorite thing in all the Philippines(next to Red Horse of course) I must of bought something from there once every two days at minimum.
God now I want to go back I'm getting hungry.

Yes every single filipino speaks tagalog most also speak another dialect as well. And english is taught in school and is mandatory. Which makes sense as to why most foreign workers are filipino as they understand english and can speak it fluently(some better than others that I'll admit but at least they try).

...which makes it even stranger why the various people in court were speaking a foreign language to one another with varying degrees of success!

Dem waffle dogs look amazing but I think they could be improve. Dunk the waffle and dog in batter then deep fry it and eat it while dunking it in pancake syrup. Damn that sounds good!

Maybe I'm crazy, but wouldn't this taste a little like chicken cordon bleu? I still have yet to try my hot dog taco idea. Or how about a hot dog stuffed hamburger patty on a hogie roll? And why does no one do breakfast hot dogs? That sounds awesome!

we had that fad in the UK, Dominos did what you see in your picture, pizza hut did individual dough wrapped bite around the edge of the crust, Pizza hut also did cheeseburger crust.
