Once I found out that Energy Suspension still makes bushings for my CRX, I started getting the mod itch. Coilovers? Sway bars? Exhaust? Braided brake cables?
The trouble is, I'm not supposed to be spending any money right now. I'm trying to be financially responsible and save up an emergency fund. The other trouble is, the engine is still bleeding oil all over the place and my dash lights and taillights are being fussy right now. Plus there are two shattered body panels and it needs new tie rod ends and a new tire and an alignment.
I have no real points here. I 'm just feeling itchy. Give me some money.
Here's not my CRX autocrossing, because that's what I want to do with mine.

the monkey may or may not have obtained such replacement bushing this winter, and is awaiting summer temps to rage and bust knuckles in the garage to get them in.

I've heard it helps. I don't have one, but I do have a friend who did his civic who has offered to lend an experienced hand.

Oddly enough, once I've learned you own a CRX I'm feeling itchy to come to your house and abscond with it.
Fix the car first before you do any mods. Even with factory components, CRXs handle like go carts.

So I've found. I love driving this thing, even on its crapped-up suspension and poor alignment. I imagine it will be a blast once I get it sorted. I think I'll fix the oil leak and the brake fluid leak and then just start saving, buy my coilovers and bushings and exhaust all at once so I can lay it all out, Fast and Furious style, in a garage, then dump it in all in one weekend.

Whiteline and Prothane also make bushings for your car.
Fix that broken shit first though.

It's funny you're mentioning it. I'm getting a complete front end bushing kit from energy suspension for my Lincoln Continental. And I also have an oil leak and my headlights aren't working.

I put Energy control arm bushings in my Miata and I absolutely hated them. Large increase in NVH, and they squawked like mad if you didn't grease them every couple of months. I wouldn't recommend them. If your bushings are worn out, new rubber bushings are the way to go. If you're building a racecar, you'll probably want Delrin or Heim joints or something instead. Really the only benefit of polyurethane is that it's cheap.
(When I was into the Gen 1 and 2 Taurus SHO scene years ago, folks hated polyurethane bushings so much that they started calling them polyurinestain.)
Just in my opinion, of course.
