yup. one of my father's cousins has done the same to a brand new Corolla. Total cost was about R$200K, R$120K for the car optioned the way she wanted.

I don't really know, we all have our (pretty comfortable I must admit) lives here, going away to start all over doesn't seem like a viable idea. And you get used to it, the dangers.
