I thought it was common knowledge that they had tail lights from the Sprinter up until 2002..

Also, want to guess what an 80's Cavalier, a Chevy Beretta, Saab 9-3, and a Daewoo Lanos all have in common?

![]() 01/20/2015 at 15:49 |

Like mirrors from the Citroën CX, doorhandles from the Opel Calibra or alternators from GM? :)
![]() 01/20/2015 at 15:54 |

its the V8 right?
![]() 01/20/2015 at 15:57 |

It's possible. There is a lot of random mechanical and other things for these that seem to all be from all sorts of other brands and random part suppliers.
![]() 01/20/2015 at 15:57 |

Well that's pretty cool. Leave it to me to want the ugly thing in the background. Thanks for the pics and the education.

![]() 01/20/2015 at 15:59 |

Sure is, I think the S1 and S2 used the same front suspension as a Opel Ascona.

Dude I can't find it on the website.....
![]() 01/20/2015 at 15:59 |

100% true opponaut. Click on the tag, a couple other random cars there and yet for me to post pictures of here.
![]() 01/20/2015 at 16:02 |

lol, it could be you :] I think the grill looks good...but it is very flimsy and feels like it could break easy. The shared sense of Mercedes lately I think. They are being cheap on a lot things
![]() 01/20/2015 at 16:03 |

did not know that. Glad Volvo is not like that anymore. Thanks China for the $11 Billion USD :]
![]() 01/20/2015 at 16:04 |

![]() 01/20/2015 at 16:11 |
|
just curious what can you tell me about the car? I am interested.
![]() 01/20/2015 at 16:16 |
|
They move it around every now and then. All systems are go. The body does have some random little imperfections (tiny weather strip cracks, wheels have a little discoloring, etc.) But overall it's good and ready for a home. Interior is nice and sounds epic. Like I said, it's been on the lot for a year and a half or 2 years.
![]() 01/20/2015 at 16:18 |
|
so what's the lowest price they can go if they have had it for such a long time.
![]() 01/20/2015 at 16:22 |
|
no clue buddy. I'll ask but they wont be honest with me
![]() 01/20/2015 at 16:25 |
|
tell them I would be willing to trade my fully loaded coyote mustang GT for it. You know what it looks like and what's on it
![]() 01/20/2015 at 16:29 |
|
they dont give too much for trades lol. I say given a call
![]() 01/20/2015 at 16:30 |
|
maybe but it's listed for 39.9k I doubt they will work with a 20yr old who's only bargaining chip is the stang right now
![]() 01/20/2015 at 16:38 |
|
we had a Boss 302 parked next to it once.... it sold the next day :]
![]() 01/20/2015 at 17:17 |
|
so you thing they will take me seriously?
![]() 01/20/2015 at 18:26 |
|
I don't see why not. Just make sure you research this car and about owning one. We (Lotus dealerships) cannot get parts for them. You can't get any parts really for them in the US.
![]() 01/20/2015 at 18:43 |
|
So DDing one would be maybe a bad idea?
![]() 01/20/2015 at 18:51 |
|
You could do it for sure, but as far as brand new OEM parts from the dealership, that is a big NO. We have these kind of cars come in every now and then from customers of from "specialty shops" that at the end need our help. What ends up happening is either parts on back order, usually discontinues, endless calls to England, and having to rig stuff to function. Random bits mechanically and trim (window stuff, A/C, interior, minor electrics).
Most can apply to any used car really but the lack of parts can be an issue
![]() 01/20/2015 at 18:53 |

Ya but how long could I go w/o something happening to the one at your guy's place? Like whats the biggest issue with the,?
