" We don't have any production plans for that car , but it's built with a pretty dialed-in reality," Reuss said.
Reality is, as much enthusiasm as there is for the Avenir to become a rear-wheel-drive production sedan, the sophisticated material mix that Reuss describes above is easier to cover with a Cadillac sticker price than with a Buick sticker price. Let's hope the bean counters figure it out.

BULLSHIT. If Chevy can sell the SS, you can sell the Avenir. I get that rebadging is a GM mistake of the past and caddy needs to be the best of all the nameplates, but come the fuck on...

I'm with you man, they've been doing a lot of "this isn't what Buick used to be" ads lately.
You want to re-define Buick - this was your shot!

That's the mentality that destroyed GM before, and you know what's worse? They wouldn't even make that as a Cadillac because it wouldn't give them the margins they want.

Technically it is being made as a Cadillac since it uses the Omega architecture. Unless you're talking about releasing a vehicle using the Omega chassis but at a Buick price.

I'm talking about making a vehicle that is actually that nice, period. Cadillac vehicles are not that nice regardless of price.

No vehicles are nice as a concept. But I will argue that Cadillac vehicles are nice, I believe that they sincerely are.

I think their interiors need some work and I think the oil-hungry V6 needs to get gone, but they are solid.
The thing about that Buick is that it's more or less as nice as an S-class without being unrealistic in that way concepts usually are. That's what they need to be building.
