This weekend, my boyfriend practiced his manual transmission skills on the open road for the first time. He did a great job! He's pretty much got starting from a standstill. Next lesson: smoother shifts to second. He's determined to get a stick shift in his next car.

On the flipside. This week I drove my first automatic car! It was awesome. Felt pretty strange though, doing nothing with your left leg haha.

Actually, he's learning on my Z3 now. It was easier than him learning on the Matrix.

I have yet to permit him to get behind the wheel of my beloved Miata.

Ugh. 2nd always gives me problems (E39 530i), especially when cold. I usually just skip to 3rd.
