More spicifically, a dark grey one with black wheels and red callipers. After looking on ebay, replacent parts aren't bad for them if you're willing to work on it yourself.

Replacement parts are cheap and plentiful. I'd say now is the time to get one too. They're going up a bit with the 911/914 bubble. 924s's are even cheaper, and a bit quicker since it's basically the 944 engine in a lighter car.

Guy by my house has a black on black turbo sitting on twist wheels that I haven't seen move in two years. He used to have a red one, too. I saw him out at a nearby restaurant and struck up a conversation. Red one sold. Black one needs a battery then will be for sale. He told me to stop by whenever and I could take a look through it if I'm interested. I really want to go take it off his hands. Unfortunately I have a connection on a 930 outlaw that I am really trying to save hard for. Motor isn't numbers matching but was rebuilt as a near 400hp untuned TT. It's brown and has a full roll cage. I am so tempted to backdate it a la Singer once I buy it. (It would already be gone if I hadn't gotten engaged - I keep telling my fiancee that she is wearing my 911.) /rant

My friend has one and has been working on it forever. I saw this green race car and I really had a hard on for it. But I got my Z so I'm having fun. This green looks awesome in person.

I've had a 944 for about 6 years now. I have an '84 right now. Fantastic car if you know your way around a wrench. The early (82-85.5) cars are lighter, but are an electrical nightmare. The later cars (85.5-92) have very delicate suspension (all cast aluminum) but a more modern electrical system. And then the 968 just fixed everything that was wrong with the 944. Unless you buy a 951 or an S2, they're not all that fast. but they handle like they're on rails.
