In my quest to find a new car and with my total lack of knowledge in Japanese cars, combined with the fact that it's freaking impossible to get test drives in Japan, I've decided to pay a little visit to " !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! " and drive a few cars... Originally, I wanted to try the AE86, the Miata, the R32 GTR and the FD Rx7, but it's winter and pretty much all their cars are retired at this time of the year. The only ones they have left for 2 more days before they also get retired for winter are these 3 cars:
I have no intention on buying a NSX as I need at least a trunk and well this S2000 is so far from stock that it won't tell me much about how a S2000 really is, but I thought that if I were to go all the way there, I may at least give them a try.
I'm interested in potentially buying a AE86 though and this will give me a good idea if it's still powerful enough to my taste :)
Anyway, I'm sure it will be fun and I guess I'll be doing a little write-up/photo shoot/maybe video of the whole day.
So saturday is a long day for me... 5 hour drive round trip + about 5 hours driving those 3 cars... I may spend the night there :)
EDIT: Just cehcked the roads around there... Not at all a drift focused area... not at all...

That's a Honda HSV-010 GT, the successor to the NSX Super GT500. No production model was made unfortunately.

NSX does has luggage space:
For the AE86, i never driven those with pop-up headlight, but i once drove one of those with fixed light, the Levin. Quite a fun car, albeit a bit slow.

Yeah, I know but... I've seen it in person and I really need more space than that :)
Same reason why I gave up on the Cappuccino... Just too small...

I remember your piece on the subject yes :)
At this time I didn't even know I would be moving to Japan yet.

S2000 has the same amount of trunk space.

yeah, not interested in buying a s2000 either. It wasn't on the list of the cars I originally wanted to test drive... I would have gotten a cheap ass mx5 for the sake of removing the passenger seat to transport stuff and add a hard top for a roof rack, but I don't want to do that to a s2000. To a cheap ass miata, sure but to the s2000 :)

The NSX has twice as many trunks as the other cars.

If it had one trunk twice the size of the s2000 i would consider it... But i have not much use of two small trunks unfortunately. I need one big one.
