GRUMBLE RUMBLE GRRR
The 1997 F-150. In this case, a used and abused example. We recently took this truck in on trade. And although it's a giant pile of junk, it's proved it's worth quite a bit today. We used it for a battery-jumper multiple times. It worked better than our regular jumper boxes.
Two wheel peel! Not a transfer case to be found. This things a sport truck! Haha no. It does make a lot of noise though. The exhaust is dumped before the rear axle, and theres a definite hole somewhere. Smooth running though, and it's fun to use as a jumper truck. WOW IT'S DIRTY, but it hasn't been cleaned yet. Honestly though I don't know how well it'll clean up. Apparently the hood release lever in the cab snapped off at some point, it was jerry rigged and bolted to the plastic. Nature's speed holes! Seriously, lots of rust on this one. This thing's pretty simple though, so no toys to write about. I'm surprised it doesn't have a hand crank to start it honestly.
As ugly as she is, I hope it stays around for a while. It's going to work awesome for a garbage truck, scrap truck, etc. Juuuuust as long as I don't get into any real deep snow.

Didn't these come from the factory with a side exit exhaust in front of the rear pass. side wheel?

We just took in a 2003 Ram 1500 in the same exact color combo. Looks just like the pic you posted. 160k on the clock, and I think we may actually retail ours.

Oh, that isn't the exact truck, just one of a similar color pulled from the internet. And we are going to retail ours too. My dealership doesn't keep anything useful like this truck, even though I think we're going to use it a ton and it would make sense to.

Oh this one doesn't grind into first. It's an auto and it's actually pretty smooth in the low gears.
