I knew a guy back in the early '90s that put a GTI engine in one of those trucks. Talk about a sleeper.

Also, even though the first car I ever drove was an '82 (?) Rabbit, with the square headlights, I have come to appreciate the round ones. I like the round ones better.

I actually have a GTI (well, actually, an 8v 1.8 Scirocco) engine kicking around in my shed... If I could find a pickup that hadn't been ruined and/or rusted out, I'd totally do it.
