Wasn't working very hard that day, like at all.

We've had to have both the A and C pillars on the passenger side realigned for gaps big enough my index finger fit in them, and now a plastic cover thing that hides the screws where the sun visor screws into the roof fell out with the plastic clips broken.

Kinja'd!!!

The small cover I can understand, it's a cheap little part that's probably destined to break 7/10 times when being installed, but the HUGE pillar misalignments were something that never should have gotten past quality control.

Kinja'd!!!

What is this? Is that liner as frayed as the photo indicates?

I surely hope ours isn't, this is just a photo I pulled off the web. I'll have to look at it tomorrow.

Ford has upped their game a lot, especially the visual and tactile quality. Build quality seems like it still has a bit of a ways to go.

I mean, besides those things, it all seems to be really well screwed together. The dealer already fixed the pillars and profusely apologized, so there's that.

I really do wonder how that managed to get out of the factory.

The little thing for the visor, that happened on my dads mercury a couple years ago. Was very cheap to fix but it still happened. Some other interior bit have broken. Seatbelts are stupid because someone always plays with them.

No, that is the unfinished leading edge of the headliner which is just exposed. My 2011 MKX is the same way. Apparently this is normal for Ford.

Ah. Just as well, you should see some of the sharp, unfiled plastic edges in various locations in my Taco.
