"zeontestpilot" (zeontestpilot)

Last night we got about a inch of snow. So naturally, on my daily commute this morning (on i96), I traveled an average of 60-65 mph (I prefer cautious over reckless), with the speed limit being 70 mph. Somehow, I was one of the fastest car on the road.
That never happens, usually Michiganders go the speed limit on the dot, or perhaps 5 over (at least on this highway). So I estimate that most of the cars were going at least 10 under or more. And the roads were excellent to drive on; freshly plowed, little to no slush, I could of easily gone faster if I wasn't being cautious because of black ice.
It just goes to show you, it's hard to predict what other drivers will do.

It is Friday and no one is in a hurry to get to work.

Here in Utah, I feel like most people just follow the crowd, so the flow of traffic depends on what some of the earlier drivers decide to do.

Huh, you may have a point, it is Friday. When did that happen?

Herd mentality, true but sad. people tend to stuck in the left lane, 7 feet apart. The first car uses it's brakes, everyone follows suit. It's why I ususlly just drive in the right lane, no one is it in.

It's a companion cube from the game Portal. My wife made it for me. :).
Here is a pic of it unfinished, taken from her FB.

That usually makes me nervous and thinking that they know something I don't, so I slow down.

It depends for me. I'm a very cautious driver, but I also assess my surroundings, trying to deem what's safe and what isn't. It's just funny cause my drive was my safe driving.

Especially when the commute for some happens before the plow comes. For some reason, it's just as dangerous to them once it's plowed...

Or if they think their AWD/4wd car can and will overcome the snow, so they race down the highway. It's true, they are better on the snow. But try and stop that car, I'm betting it takes a while.
