" ….. single cam auto saturn with no exhaust, literally a open manifold, cut springs, ebay flares, a sheetmetal wing and a broken hood."
I generally like stance, but this thing …. no.
and then someone made this ….

I can appreciate the time and dedication it took to make it to what it is, and being a Saturn and not your everyday VW or Honda is refreshing.
Not my bag, either, but hey. It is what it is.

Welllll, they didn't make it worse, but they didn't make it better either. At least it's different and not a desirable car.

I'm always torn with stuff like this. This is obviously a car someone loves and took the time to make their own. They're a car person.
But I hate it. I feel bad for hating it for the above reasons.

I gotta admit something to you guys...
I love it. It's gross. It's bad. It's awesome.

With an open exhaust manifold and cut springs I'd argue he made it worse.

good use of combo wrenches though!

I normally am on the side of "hey at least they're into cars" but I can't with this one.
All the #BecauseRaceCar bits while only making 100hp & its dragging that low on cut springs.

I actually like this. I'm so sorry. Put on some proper coilovers and run straight pipes somewhere logical (cut a hole in the rear quarter panel and integrate the exhaust for extra points) and I'd DD this for sure. Maybe a little less camber, but I like the fitment.

But that negative breh, Stance isn't always recking cars.
*cars may not be the best examples but they're being used as cars.

I'll give them credit for at least making a body kit that looks functional even though it isn't.

Yes. He has started something good ( yes, I said it ); now he needs to properly finish it.
I think he should look into swapping in an L61 EcoTec & 5-speed from a Cobalt, get the GM supercharger kit, dial back the rear camber, and blow the doors off the local Mustangs.

Umm... Those are turnbuckles.
This is a combo wrench.

Nope.
Minus the stretched tires and excessive rear camber, I like the look of it, overall. Give it some proper-fitting rubber in a set of knockoff BBS's, and it'd look great.
Would I do up an SL this way? No way; that wing is out of control and I wouldn't want to live with that front splitter day-to-day. But I think the combo he has works well.

But then it would still have cut springs and an open manifold.

Yep, true. Under the skin, there's work to be done. I mentioned in another post that he'd do well to look into an EcoTec + 5spd swap, and get some coilovers, or at least some actual drop springs.
As to the look of it, I like what he's done.

So wheels, tires, suspension and a drivetrain swap, then it would be good? Uhh yea ….
As for liking the look, AS IT SITS the body is writing a lot of checks that 100hp can't cash.

Cool, didn't know that.
But honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see combo wrenches used as turnbuckles, though, with all the cheap-ass ricing and redneck fixins done to cars :p

I thought the only toyota engined GM cars were the vibe and some GEO's, but I am no expert.
