Kinja'd!!!

Does anyone know anyone at netflix corporate ?

So last night as I read a story about CNN and "the end of the world video"

and it clicked... News is how netflix will never die. I don't know about you but I'd surely like to be able to switch from my top gear marathon to listening about the Paris terrorism..

Also this brings a unique situation for netflix if they were to start live news programming or even better 24/7 new broadcasting. They would have the potential of hiring people who aren't one sided.. CNN was like this when it started but has lost it's mojo overtime becoming just one more news channel with a opinion. I don't want that in my news. I want the facts.. and a I want them delivered to me by a person with a strong mustache.

Make it happen Netflix or call me I'll be happy to leave my cubicle for a netflix cubicle.

It doesn't really help for international news, but i find the best unbiased US news seems to be delivered on the BBC.....But that's just my opinion.

I agree completely. Practically the only unbiased American new stories are from
BBC.. damn shame the brits have to report our news so we get the full story.

Probably because it's not their news really, but being government funded probably plays into that as well.

Well, like I said, I do see bias in their international coverage and in other areas, but as far as just reporting on US domestic issues...it's not bad.

I feel when covering stuff they're more involved in like EU and other UK affairs there's more bias, yet US it's less. Basically what you said though.

I know but this idea has been boiling inside my brain for too long I had to let it out.

the government doesn't fund the BBC in the US, thats only in the UK, they are funded with cable subscriber fees and commercial fees in the US.

I know, but there's BBC World News which I'm pretty sure is a World Service broadcast, not BBC America.

Hah, I wish! I don't work there, but I know a few people who do. Believe me, I'd be working there as well, if they'd let me.
