Anybody else having trouble with Chrome?

So for the last few weeks, I have had trouble with comments and links in Jalopnik while on Chrome. I uninstalled and reloaded Java. Nothing doing.

I even took a flight in the way back machine and loaded Firefox. Everything works well there.

You're facing the same issue. The annotations and replies don't work, do they?

Gawker support has actually been pretty responsive to this stuff in the past.

Download Firefox for now.

sadly firefox isn't allowed on the work PC, it's fine when I'm at home though.

I have no trouble with linking, but sometimes it's super finicky reading the main articles on Jalopnik, proper. I can't click the article because the name disappears as soon as my pointer thing glazes over the title

I just sent an email to the general mailbox. I had an android question a few months ago and they responded and had it fixed in a few hours. Somewhere in my gmail is the support address, but I bet they handle it.

Except you can drive trucks through the holes in security on that platform.

We have to use 9 at work if we are interacting with the bank. I almost want a dedicated computer in the corner that only logs on the bank and then logs back off. I have so many old PCs sitting around here, I should just do it.

I've been having issues with Chrome in general not just with Kinja, just randomly crashing with no reason :(

Off and on. If you edit and save, the edit wont show up until you refresh the page again. Replies have been wonky all morning.

I use Chrome and all of the options still exist... but nothing loads correct. Like I can star a comment, but I don't click a star, I hit a 1. To insert a picture I hit a question mark. The blockquote is the @ sign. Bold is an *. I don't really know why.

I think it's a Chrome Java conflict. I have sent them an email. They usually respond pretty well.

That might be very possible. What I forgot to mention though is that this issue is only on the school PCs. The laptops are fine but something about the PCs doesn't work. They are running Windows 7. I'm on Chrome version 39.0.2171.95 m but I cant check for updates or do anything without getting blocked here.

IE9 does still get security updates. We can't install 10 or 11 on our work PCs or people can't do half the crap we need to do around here. I hate developers who use activex and IE specific calls. Please develop your web interfaces universally. Stuck with a few web platforms that were designed for IE6 and 9 is the latest we can use where "compatibility mode" still works right.

I have given everybody FF and Chrome now, since they don't need an administrator to log in to apply updates anymore. They just use IE on those crap sites where they are required, and FF/Chrome for the rest of the internet.

That said, I switched from Chrome back to FF a few months ago because I kept having other minor issues with Chrome.

I was having trouble logging in to Kinja with Twitter from Chrome but I reinstalled it and I worked fine.

I did a complete re-install though; all bookmarks, history, favourites and settings back to default.

That's how I feel about the banking site. If you setup your PC exactly like we have it in the lab, it works!

Hey dufus, I don't work for bank security and I use my computer for other things. Show some effort
