A buddy of mine had an Alfa Junior back in London in the ’90s and used to let me drive it on a regular basis. One of my chief pleasures in life at that time was catching a green light at the bottom of Adelaide Road coming from Chalk Farm Road in third, heel-toe downshifting and accelerating up through the gears to Swiss Cottage roundabout. Such a lovely little car, perfectly balanced and the essence of a small, light European sports car. 1600cc four-banger with a four-speed manual that was as much fun to drive as cars with twice the cylinders and power. So pretty too.

DD: XC70R (I have the money now, so I'll just build one...maybe not exactly like this, but the orange/gray are definitely the colors of choice)
Racecar: Miata Club (don't act like you don't know what these look like...)
Cult Car: Vanagon Syncro
Utility: 4WD Tacoma, Crew Cab (same as the Miata - we all know what these look like)
Classic: Mid-50's Buick Roadmaster (similar to this)
Interestingly, outside of the Buick, I'd say the Vanagon is going to be the most expensive...

I always wanted (and still do) a 1980 300 TD wagon. Which model is that? It's more extended than any I'm familiar with.

Woah, is that XC70 real or a render? And yes, Vanagon Syncros are through the roof these days. Buddy of mine has a beater one but even that is probably worth crazy $$ now.

Hopefully that'll be me one day...
Though I certainly wouldn't turn down a Giulia Sedan, either. It's sad that cars like that always seem to be out of reach, as their prices constantly skyrocket. Light, quick, beautiful, and Italian is all I could ask for in a car...

The XC70R is a concept, but it is in fact, very real and now living a quiet life in Goethenburg.

IRT the Syncros, I heard that the reason why they're going up to shockingly expensive is that there are about 4000 of them left in the US. A popular mod is to replace the VW engine with a Subaru.

Insane. I've never seen a Roller with that much overhang in the rear, so that it was a hearse makes sense.

In same order:
Mercedes S-Class for a little luxury and technology to ease the pain of traffic
Ariel Atom V8 to rip my face off on the track
Hennessey modified Viper because Viper and Hennessey
Mercedes 6X6 //AMG because big
Benz Patentwagen I don't even have to give a reason for this one(but if I can't find one, which I probably can't find the original, an F40 would be choice #2 for sure)
