I dont like needless convolution in the things I use day to day. Simple is always better. I can appreciate the technology, but if Im gonna use it everyday I'd rather not have blinking lights

I can understand that. Honestly you can really easily compare it to my preference for manual transmissions and building things with hand tools. But, when it comes to watches... I'm too lazy/ slow to deal with analog.
