If that car had AWD, even front-biased Haldex as the other AWD Volvos all do, with a stick shift transaxle... I think I would gladly own one.

Like this Heico Sportiv custom concept, minus the urban camouflage. The right rake, good ground clearance without being on stilts, rugged edging, AWD, manual 6-speed, and a turbo in a 3-door shooting brake body style.

With a touch more ground clearance, like a Subaru XV Crosstrek, a new car like this would be classified as a light truck for CAFE regs... and would be a real rally car for the road.

I want one of those, A LOT. Just another FWD hatch, albeit stylish... I don't really need.
