Recently, our neighborhood's main intersections began to switch over to the Flashing Yellow Arrow (If you live in California or Michigan, it's similar to the flashing red) signal, and it actually helps - you can still turn but with some caution and it lets you know that the oncoming traffic still has a green.
I think my neighbors may have (either) went to a shoddy driving school, lived with horrible drivers or both.
As I went to go pick up a few roach traps down in Walmart, I needed to turn left just to continue with the trip (going straight meant that I was heading to the AF base.) In front of me was my neighbor's Civic SI with my friend in the passenger seat and his mother in the driver's seat (never knew she could drive stick...)
Now, you're wondering as to how this could be bad... Well, let me explain to you in the most eloquent way possible:
She thought it was a red light.
Even if there was no oncoming traffic, she would not move. What made it worse? I can't pass on either side without scraping the living daylights out of my undercarriage. You know, these things, except slimmer and a bit taller - tall enough to do damage.
As a result, I sat there for 2-3 minutes before it finally changed to green. I think it was a bad idea not to have a sign to supplement it, and I can't get back the time lost.
Fuck. My. Life.
P.S.: I later found out she was lucky - holding up 5 or more cars would literally get you in trouble. She held up 6.

Once, but I think the angry motorists behind me did the job since I couldn't hear my horn. She was sitting in the Civic going WTF?

And a solid green turning left means the same goddamn thing and people herr are still having difficult grasping that. How did all these people get their licenses???

whats the saying?...
you see one you have eleventybillion hiding somewhere!?
dammit, now i have the willies and need to go home and mix up a double in the backpack sprayer and hose me, the cats, and the house down.
i brought one big one home form the Safeway one day ( at least that's what im telling myself) and proceeded to tear my apartment apart including moving washer and dryer to wipe everything down and put down a carpet bombing of chemicals that probably killed 100 pet tarantulas in Nevada.

The worst that could happen?
They could crawl into your ear and lay eggs while you sleep...
