well technically I grew up in Endicott so yeah I been up rt 26 a few times. use to work at the manleys mighty mart at the bottom of east maine rd in fact.. think it's what a valero now?

I lived on Marthas vineyard for a while and meet some kids from Binghamton university once, oh I bought them soo many drinks just cause they knew where i was from and didn't think it was the city.

Brought this to mind for some reason. I'm from NJ and have tons of family there still. I had a conversation with my young cousin who is obsessed with The Soprano's. We were talking about places we'd like to visit and I mentioned Rome.

He said "I wouldn't want to go to Italy. Too many Italians."

I replied "You could say that about New Jersey."

Cool. I asked because my family settled down in that area in the 1800s, and had at least one descendent living there until my great grandmother died in '99, I think.

I've been once or twice, but I was too young to fully remember it. There's currently a map of East Maine from c. 1880 or something, hanging in my parents' living room.
