You suck. This is the first ticket I've ever gotten too. :/

That's actually pretty low. Around here, my first and only ticket was for 9 over in a 35, and "administrative costs" jacked the total up to over $140.

Good, maybe you'll learn not to speed in a school zone. Kids walking, buses full of kids, not the ideal place to be racing around. Did the county hold a gun to your head and force you to speed? I just can't see any other reason to blame them for your stupidity.

My mother just got a 'stop registration' in the mail on her car in Florida. She is in MA for the summer. My brother and I went down to FL because my dad was very sick this summer and borrowed her car while we were there. None of us can figure out who would have been driving when the picture was taken. None of us remember running a red light or seeing a flash. I know it wasn't my mother, and she never received the citation in the first place. So Fuck Cameras, and Fuck Lee County FL.

I think we have to fight the ticket, because there is absolutely no way we could know who was driving. Unfortunately it would mean that we would have to appear in court in FL, but just on principle of the whole thing we should fight it. We don't even know what the ticket is!

I'm starting to think my car is impervious to radar these days, the last two cops have pulled me over when I've been 100% in the wrong but said their camera wasn't giving a reading but they knew and gave me a warning.

My recommendation: call a lawyer. Google criminal or traffic attorney in the county you got the ticket.

Reasoning? Well, I had a lot of tickets when I was younger. I had several straight dismissed and every single one handled without any insurance consequences. Bottom line: lawyers were cheaper than insurance increases.

I don't get nearly as many tickets now, but the above is still true in most states.
