The first Lamborghini I ever saw was an Espada and was I think this colour. I don't think I've seen one since.
Which brings me to think that we need a new one so I'll need to come up with a concept seeing as Lambo aren't doing it, with no signs of the Estoque.
To begin, we'll need a platform as the days when you could design a car made in small numbers completely from scratch seem to be behind us unless you can charge mega money. Dr Piech and his company own Porsche as well as Lamborghini so we'll have to start with the Panamera platform, which is a pity as it's too heavy. It is rear or four wheel drive though which ties in with other Lamborghinis.
To attach to this we'll need a V12 engine. Happily, we find this in the Aventador. Behind this we'll need a gearbox and so we hope that the manual and twin clutch units from the Porsche are up to the job. We fend off purists complaining at the thought of an automatic Nueva Espada by reminding them that the original model offered the choice too. In keeping with the spirit of the times we may also need to consider the hybrid drivetrain from the Panamera.
All we need do now is to find someone to craft us a rakish two door, four sea, fastback body with an impossibly long and wide bonnet with two NACA ducts and we're done.
