Is this spoiler factory for this model?

I saw this 1995 Subaru Legacy at the junkyard on Saturday, and I couldn't help noticing the spoiler. I thought these spoilers were only available on the previous body style.

I'm actually considering going back and grabbing this for my Outback, as I'd imagine they work pretty well for keeping the rear window clear.

They do work a treat for keeping the dust off the window....but...they will pile all of that dust on the bumper for easy tracking into the vehicle when you stop and put the hatch up.

It looks like it was an option, but it was very unpopular. It resembles the optional spoiler on the previous generation, but I'm not sure if it's different or not. Knowing Subaru, it's possible that it's a carry over from the previous generation.

That picture of the black older Legacy was the only one I could find online, but you're right, it looks like it was an option on the BG body style as well.
