I scored a pre-dispute CD of Blizzard of Ozz over the weekend. That's right - Kerslake and Daisley cuts. You can all be jelly.

to tell you the truth I dont know if I heard it post dispute. Spotify has it both ways, and I usually stay clear of reissues. Learned that lesson from Pet Sounds...

It's a big enough difference to make a reason for used music/book stores, I can tell you that. IIRC the bass on the recut-destroy-all-others modern CDs is Trujillo, which means it sounds waaaay more 90s Metallica than Ozzy ever should. Funny enough, I think the old cuts are what are still in use on the radio most of the time.

Well, yeah. But, if you want a good original-master sourced digital format and aren't going to do your own, this is the best version to have.

Also, the family LP player is kind of crap, so there's that.

Not that they play much other than Crazy Train on the radio but you are correct. The recut sounds like shit. The lay people probably can't tell the difference unless you hear them back to back but the recut has way more bass than the original which muddies up the guitar.

In addition to the Ozzy, I also got decent-to-good deals on the 3.0 Oriental Adventures, 3.5 Draconomicon, and the Expanded Psionics Handbook, as well as a copy of the Star Wars Saga Edition sourcebook. Also, some John Ringo and vintage sci-fi paperbacks, y'know, like you do.
