Nice Mazda 2 you've got there. Looks like a happy little kid playing with leaves.

damn, congrats. I'm jealous. The Mazda2 is one of the last great Mazdas, in my opinion. How do you like it? What have you done with it.

p.s., those yellow fog lights are juuuuust right.

I love it! I've done a fair amount with it, including Sparco wheels with BFG Sport Comp 2s, rear sway bar, Racing Beat muffler, short ram intake, and custom ECU tune. Lots of cosmetic bits too, like custom gauges, shift boot, LED lighting everywhere, and JDM-style tail lights. Overall, way more money than I'd care to admit. :P

that is a lot of modifications! what kind of performance increases have you seen?

per chance, what kind of costs have you spent on the car. The Mazda2 has been on my short list of cars for a while and i'm wondering if it could be fun with those kind of mods.

I've spent probably a bit over $3k, but if you focus exclusively on performance mods and nothing else, it could be done for a lot less. Tires were $400, tune about $600, intake and duct about $200, sway bar $100, short shifter and bushings $60 (I forgot to mention this earlier, but this mod makes this one of the best MTs available). I haven't done this myself yet (winters here are too rough), but you can also get adjustable dampers and lowering springs for $600. Considering maybe a supercharger in the future. It's certainly a lot of fun and I love driving it every day. And even when I thrash it, I still get 30mpg at the worst. :)
