Scenario

Sally drives on highway 401 eastbound towards Ajax, Ontario in the left lane at 130km/h passing everyone on her commute to work in her late 2000's Toyota Matrix. Sally is late for work.

Question

Should Sally apply mascara while she drives? Why?

Answer

Hell No.

Because Toyota Matrices do not have a lane departure warning system.

Bonus : The plural of Toyota Matrix is Matrices.

Dammit Sally. Get your crap together.

The plural of Toyota Matrix is Matrices.

And the plural of apex is apices . Though Mr. Webster will also allow apexes .

Will this be on the test?

Sally needs to get out of bed 10 minutes earlier. Sally is not smart.

sally also does not notice me flicking my high beams to tell her to move over. (Yes sometimes I am "that guy") my local police like to ticket on empty back roads more than highways :'(

English is what you make it. Which is why we have more words than anyone ever in the history of evers. I'll take apexes any day. Matrices sounds like someone's Austrian nanny.

Uh, dude, even if it had a lane departure system...still shouldn't apply mascara.

Is that how long it takes to apply mascara? 10 entire minutes??? How do you live?!

Correct. Mascara application is only acceptable in the west bound lane.

I've never understood people applying mascara on the road. It, quite literally, takes no more than 15-20 seconds.

Why not wait until you stop?

It's safer and your mascara application will look better.

She should just pluck out all her eyelashes. Big return in time savings, plus she gets an edgy look.

This is an answer I did not consider.

After reviewing my notes, it is absolutely correct.

You're also my favourite.

I wish we could dive into Sally's thought process behind it because it all just doesn't make sense. That should be our next case study.

I am no expert, but I'm a firm believer that no make-up looks better than poorly applied make-up.

That would be extremely efficient!

We also wouldn't screw with Sally if she'd done this.

Sally is doing 20 miles an hour over the speed limit. Surely one would be wise to use her at radar bait. If one were to proceed at 30 miles over the speed limit the fine is 10,000.

im unaware if where you are located, but where I live : sally is going 10mph over the speed limit. Radar bait is wonderful, but let's be honest if you were a cop would you pull over a blue Toyota or a green Audi that were going the same speed?

In all seriousness, I rarely go that fast, and I take advantage of radar bait whenever I can.

Where sally is the speed limit is 100 km/h. Where I am is irrelevant.
