It has to be one of the evocative designs in the history of the world

Wonderful design. I see it and think about blasting ahead through gears letting it sing-of course that was the whole beginning of the Canonball Run movie, letting it sing and run. I wanted to do that. Very badly. It's a horrible design, yes, for the world we live in but this was not designed for a world where cars are maneuvered in parking lots or driven on city streets. It was designed for a world of wide open sweeping highways of balls-out acceleration and hunting down Ferrari's and Porsches and outrunning police hour by hour. If you ask me, and i'm sure nobody is, conservative approaches have left us without a supercar. Veyron? Go to hell, we can see out the back of it and we can parallel park it. It's compromised. It has room for luggage! Matched! That makes it an eitist Super Tourer.
I am waiting for the next real amazing super car. Give us a 3-4 liter highly strung v-12 in the middle, two seats, forward looking, full-gas baby all the time. Light weight and a shrill noise from eleven-thousand rpm is very emissions possible. Gimme gimme gimme.

I totally agree with you on the part about the Countach being for the open road. I always hate when people complain that it is hard to park and has a heavy clutch. A Countach isn't about parking and the clutch work out makes you a man! Suck it up! A no compromising car is allowed to be flawed it makes it more lovable.

Well you CAN get A Murcielago SV in a manual, but good look with that.
