Why? Poor thing...

It's literally as it came off the truck. Everything inside still wrapped.

I mean sure, it's in new condition. That's kinda neat I guess. But to this extreme? I don't get it.

At least the other 2 were unwrapped

There was a C7 that must have come directly to the showroom from the truck. Still wrapped. I hope it's not going to end up like the C6...

And before anyone asks, no, I wasn't shopping. Noticed some corrosion around my battery :(. Took it in and got it replaced under warranty. Hopefully the new battery is better. I'm a little nervous now too. Right after I left my driver window randomly wouldn't auto up, then when I got home the alarm randomly went off in the garage. I hope those aren't signs of some weird gremlin...

I love the way the Fiesta ST drives. I don't particularly like the way it looks, but if someone gave me one I wouldn't turn it down. I would take off the blue ovals though...

I don't know about the C6 Z06. The red ones had price tags. C5 was 27k, which is ridiculous but it looked insanely clean, probably very low mileage. ZR1 was $79k. I have no idea what the going rate for them is but that doesn't feel terribly unreasonable

Maybe a sale went through, buyer never picked it up, and after all the legal paperwork was done it couldn't be sold new anymore? I imagine if there's anything more than a 12 month wait period before reselling it after the buyer doesn't take delivery of it, it could become very very hard to sell. It sounds either like a "time capsule" purchase (hoping to make more money on it in the long run) or some legal problem that kept it off the showroom until recently.

I actually did leave a plane in the trunk once.

I see a lot of double takes when the hood is open. They see it and are like 'eh, what is that stupid hatchback doing here' then they see the giant shiny intake and get closer.

I get a lot of people asking how fast it is, insisting it must be fun, then asking questions cause they want a car like it.

I once had a 1.8 NA Cruze owner come up to me with a sideways baseball cap and ask me if I've taken it down a drag strip because he wanted to get one and race it. I laughed in his face. I don't think he liked that

Hmm, $27k for an ultra low mile mint stock C5 Z06 is not too bad. I'd need to know more info to make that call. $59k for the 'new' C6 Z06 is way too much, in my opinion. That's Stingray money which is a better car in most ways. ZR1 for $79k seems a little high, but depends on condition.

That's autocross in a nutshell for me. Everyone says 'that thing must be fun', then they see it run and come up to me going 'is that a turbo? It makes so much noise! That looks so fast!'

There's an awesomely nice older guy that goes to AutoX in a very well set up E30 going nuts about the Sonic at one of the last ones.
