So my dad is finally getting around to finishing up his LED conversion of his dashboard lights from ugly green/teal to blue.
(Current state of the dash)
While he was doing the headlight switch he noticed the clear plastic light diffuser had started to melt where the light bulb sits.
Now this is a little concerning because if he didn't decide to change the bulbs, this would most likely eventually melt to the point of potentially starting a fire.
Is this a known issue on GMT800 vehicles?
This is the switch it sits in.
(This is also a warning to other GMT800 owners, check your shit.)

It's okay, if it's a legitimate dashboard fire the truck has ways of shutting down to protect itself.

Do it, it looks awesome! (And is potentially safer)

Having seen it in person, it looked to have started in the interior and made it's way back.
