Anyways, the 530i is great. Specifically the engine. Most powerful inline 6 you could get with the E39, AND it's equal (sometimes even greater!) fuel economy wise to the 525i!
It's way more reliable than the 540i (lighter too) so with regular maintenance they'll last a really long time. The manual is a great option, I only have very limited seat time in one but it was smooth as could be. Bmw I6's are scarily smooth. You'll be on the highway doing 65, next thing you know you're doing 85 and a cop cars behind you!
It'll make a fantastic daily driver. Personally, I'd buy a set of M-parallels and throw an M5 front bumper on it. It'll still look relatively modern! These have aged so well, I'm hoping to pick up an E39 myself so I spend so much time researching and looking around.

Wooo! I'm so stoked now. I definitely like the M5 front, but I really like the mesh wheels that came with the 530. who knows... The crazy person in me really wants to get a 525iT and do a 6speed +M5 drivetrain swap with Alpina wheels... And maybe turbos... OR just Turbo the 3.0 six...
