Goodnight oppo - here's the car I designed when I was 15 [in 2002(before Audi stole my headlights)]

Tail-lights “Amurica” (modeled after The U.S. Flag)

xmarkedspot’s logo is based off of the air-control surface on the lower portion of the door - which was the first line drawn of the car and what the entire design is based off of.

I borrowed the wheels - they’re not my modeling. I taught myself to use sketch-up just by “trying it.” You can see the difference between my skill and a pro’s in the wheels and tires.

The following pic is a late sketch, but a very early 3-d sketch. This was, maybe, the third time I had tried to draw a car in 3-dimensions. Before this, I was still trying to develop sketching the profiles of my ideas. Again, all of this is self-taught, so I apologize for the crudeness (the car looks so odd in image #3 to me, but that’s because I can’t render light, yet.)

Kinja'd!!!

the next drawing downsized the car, where I refer to it as simply the “one.” (the radix.) This was the final profile, and the basis for the 3-d model.

You're welcome.

What kind of engine were you thinking of putting in it? From the drawing, I'm guessing a straight 6.

I was actually trying to devise a reliable straight 5 for the Bat at the time

That's really impressive.

While not my design, I really want something like this to make production:

The front-end... the lower grill comes off a little numb as Aston use that geometry so frequently - but I do like that design. It's really hard for me to design rear ends, as they don't have as much function - but this concept seems to have a real accomplishment in this area.

This is probably the best iteration of the "Aston grill" I've seen to date, and I can't get over how hard I have to try to notice that. In real life - it probably sinks in, just fine. Nice!

I agree with your lower grill point.

The biggest challenge I saw was attempting to keep that beautiful smooth profile while still being able to get enough air to the engine and radiators to keep everything happy. What did you think of my suggestions?

Reminds me of the time I tried to model my pickup to mod into Mafia on the PC. Ended up with a vaguely pickup-shaped block with pictures of the pickup as texture. Spent an entire summer modeling it. Couldn't get anybody to explain to me how to make it usable in the game and just quit.

Good stuff!

I'm a professional 3D Artist and I can tell you more and more people are using sketch up vs the more established 3D software brands.

I really like the lines you have here. :) Kind of muscle car, but totally new. Give us some more "normal" eye level shots to better show what it would look like walking around the car in real life. There seems to be a lot more hood and door sculpting I'd like to see than these renders are conveying.

I started playing with a Corvette concept a while back. Not feeling the nose yet (my 5 sec headlights look stupid in the last pic haha) but it's getting there ;)

Nice. If you did this in 2002 do you mind me asking what you're up to these days?

Nice! If you're a student you could export that to an AutoCAD file format and get really REALLY pretty renders from Autodesk's cloud
