Yeah but syncing six carbs ...

I know a guy who owns one. Jay Leno has a video about one of these on his youtube.

Yep, found that on my travels. Wondering how I missed it when it was originally posted.

That would be an illegal kei car. Must have no more than 660cc engine and 63hp. You'd probably have to register the beat as a normal car.

In my college days, I occasionally crewed for someone who drag raced CBX-engined bikes. Firing the external starter inches from the carbs and straight pipes was always a treat. Great sound, but miserably complex engines.

They have 24 valve shims, crazy carbs, compromised head design (to squeeze all the carbs towards the center), and such fun little novelties as a generator mounted on a secondary, clutched jackshaft.

Expensive, complicated, and easily outclassed by four-cylinder machines of just a few years newer vintage and very little extra displacement. I love the CBX, and in fevered dreams think of doing a cafe CBX, but then the realities smack me in the face. I have no truer love/hate relationship in Honda motorcycles.

If you're into six cylinder bikes you should look into Bennelli they made a six for quite a while. I think the first ones were 750cc the latter ones were 900cc.

True facts.

My dad sync'd a CBX once. Once. He swore he'd never do it again as long as he lived.

It's nice. I know one of the biggest restorer, makers of parts for them...they are outstanding motorcycles. But, you'd be better served dropping a GL1000 motor with a blower into that beat. Unless you'd rather run a couple pairs of Webber down draft carbs on it. ;)
