I went to my first therapist session today (screw the stigma, I have clinical depression!). As I sat down in the chair to talk to the guy, I started looking around the room. As he explained some stuff that was not real important, I noticed a book titled "DSM IV". Immediately the thought of cheap, boosted, AWD cars started floating through my head.
That got me thinking; how ofter do non car related things make you think of cars?

Trying to identify a noisy product at work. I likened it to a diesel LMP1 pulling onto mulsanne. Surely that's just a normal thing right?

I just scheduled a customer a repair service call on Whirlpool Fridge that had a model # WRX735SDBM... I thought of the Subaru WRX than I thought of the WWII Dive bomber. I have cars and aircraft/weapons on my head all the time.

It's generally split between cars and song lyrics. Various other things slip in as well, I have a lot of hobbies.

My time is split between my job, my cars, my anime, and my video games.
I feel I've made good, if financially unstable life choices.

My mind is nearly always full of cars. Even my profession is mostly related to vehicles. When I see new things (tools, randoms parts, scrap pieces in recycling bin etc) I always think if they could be used for something for my car projects.
Sometimes my mind wanders into thinking non car related things like fighter planes, WWII era tanks, birds, gas turbines, CNC machines, girls, computers, manga etc. My friends probably think that I'm pretty nuts.
I think that DSM IV sounds like some nice Japanese engine management system for a 90's car (Digital System by Mitsubishi or Digital Smooth Management).
