More to follow, but in the middle of this particular Hertz induced rage, I wish to express a particular issue: For a simple change of billing address, it took 3 calls, 3 emails, and a screenshot of my bank account, showing my current billing address, to prove that I was actually now at the address I was trying to change to. After this, it was finally changed.

I can change my billing address at my bank, by simply going to my bank's website, and hitting change address, and confirming this through email. And, I belong to a major, too-big-to-fail bank.

How is it harder to change your billing address at Hertz than it is to change it at a major international bank? WTF.

Are you trying to eliminate jobs? Really?

For the record, I spoke to at least 4 different employees, and I have named none of them. The goal was to explain how hertz on demand as a business sucks, I'm not blaming the customer service reps.

I tried to rent a truck from them once. The employees were all trying to help as much as they could, but it was obvious that their system is completely fucked. It took 2 hours to finally rent the truck to haul some drywall 3 miles. I was the only reservation that day. Never again.
