It's looking alright so far. Everything the guy said is true. The only time it failed the ETest was within the past few months, so that's good.
According to him, the P/O had it in an underground garage somewhere downtown, and the wear and tear seems to reflect that.
He also lowered the asking price to $1100 Firm. it went from $1400 with the ability to negotiate.
I'm still trying to work around my mother, hence why I haven't gotten it yet.
Could someone do a more detailed lookup, like with CarFax or something?
I'll post the VIN so you guys can check it easier if needed.

For $1100 you can't go wrong, can you? Can't run the VIN on Mazda's US site because the car is Canadian.
Parts catalog says:
Built 7-22-90
EGI (fuel injected)
OHC
W/O Turbo
2200 (cc)
M/T
5-Speed
2-Disc
2WS (two wheel steering)
2WD

Thanks for the list, and yeah, Certainly can't go wrong. But apparently my mother seems to have a say in what I spend with my money.

Tell her its economical, reliable, cheap to insure(?), and very safe.

yup, exactly what I said, but she throws the "it'll blow up within a week" excuse, and "no airbags".

I was always pro-airbags, and always kept my cars 1998 or newer.... but as I get older and I rack up more and more miles without an accident, I don't really care anymore. My kids might miss me though.
And the engine in that car will run forever. Rust is what kills these cars.

I'm surprised that a GT is not exempt. It's a low production car.

As for rust, I want to keep this thing rust-free, it's already starting in some spots. If I get a cheap car for the winter, it'll be perfect.

Crazy. Shouldn't the GT be exempt? it's a low production car.
