CT6 is stupid. Cadillac, Where's your class???

So, we've all heard about the new Caddy CT6. That name is stupid. I am not discussing that, since it's my opinion. I just hate it. sounds too German. too "serial"

This Cadillac doesn't deserve a designation! It deserves a name that fits it's regal stature! Hell, if the Germans can name their best known midsize sedan after THE TRADE WIND (read: Passat) Why can't America name it's iconic car, after an Iconic place.

Enter New York.

For Decades, this Urban city was the playground of the rich, where millions were made overnight, and dreams crashed faster than Jordan Belfort after having some really old 'Ludes.

That is why this Cadillac. This pillar of Modern American Excess needs to be named The Cadillac Manhattan. Just think about it! Where is Cadillac's new headquarters? New York. What kind of person will get driven in the back of one of these to his/hers appointment, or next court trial? A New York Professional. What does this Cadillac share with Manhattan? The high price per square foot. It is the ideal name for this car, and Cadillac, you should be ashamed for not using it.

You have to think about the market they're aiming for. People who exclusively buy German cars. People who have fooled themselves into thinking that the last two numbers in the model name have something to do with the displacement of their engines.

To me, this is a perfect strategy for Cadillac, based on their current marketing plan. Not that it's what I would decide if I was in charge, but perfectly in sync with the direction they appear to be headed in.

Cadillac buyers are old enough to remember the Kaiser Manhattan, which was also very classy. Actual names evoke emotions. Alphabet soup evokes nothing. Screw the Germans, you're Cadillac. Act like the leader you want to be and lead.
